ITALY
Some lawyers advise clients about international production. I have lived it. For a decade, I have worked at the intersection of Hollywood and Italy, representing US and Italian producers, production companies, investors, executives, and creative professionals whose business crosses international borders. Fluent in Italian and connected to the Italian entertainment community, I help clients navigate the legal, business, and practical realities of working in the United States and Italy. Whether you are bringing a production to Italy, expanding an Italian business into the American market, and Italian writer looking at a Hollywood agreement, or structuring a complex cross-border entertainment transaction, my goal is simple: to move your project forward.
Experience Beyond the Contract
International productions present challenges that cannot be solved by contracts alone. They require practical judgment, trusted relationships, cultural understanding, and the ability to solve problems in real time. As production counsel and producer of the international feature film Wonderwell, I spent nearly a year living and working in Rome while overseeing legal, production, financing, and operational matters for the film. I worked side by side with Italian producers, lawyers, crew members, government agencies, financiers, and creative professionals throughout every stage of production. That experience fundamentally shaped the way I practice law. I understand the realities of international filmmaking because I have lived them.
Throughout my career, I have represented Italian producers, production companies, entrepreneurs, executives, and creative professionals conducting business in the US. My practice includes international co-productions, production legal, financing, licensing, copyright, intellectual property, talent agreements, corporate structuring, distribution, and complex commercial transactions involving multiple jurisdictions. I am also available to serve as on-site production counsel in Italy, providing practical legal support throughout development, production, financing, and worldwide distribution.
The Roma-Hollywood Alliance
I established the Roma-Hollywood Alliance with Studio Legale Giangaleazzo Bettoni, a distinguished Rome law firm founded in 1955 with decades of experience in international business, entertainment law, intellectual property, and cross-border legal matters. The alliance creates a coordinated legal platform for clients operating between Italy and the United States. Together, we advise American studios, producers, investors, and media companies working in Italy, as well as Italian filmmakers, creators, entrepreneurs, and businesses expanding into the U.S. entertainment, media, and technology industries. Our coordinated practice includes film and television production, streaming and digital media, production legal, international financing, licensing, copyright, intellectual property, talent agreements, tax incentive coordination, corporate structuring, and cross-border commercial transactions. By combining local knowledge with international experience, we help clients reduce risk, resolve issues efficiently, and keep projects moving.
Let's Build Something Extraordinary
Whether your project involves production, financing, intellectual property, licensing, distribution, or international expansion, I offer experienced legal counsel grounded in real-world production experience, practical business judgment, and a genuine understanding of both markets.
